Gentlemen,

The privilege is mine to serve you as Grand Knight.

I am dedicating my service in the 2008/2009 year to YOU, the individual Knight.  While Supreme,
State, and Nativity will all be sure to fill our lives with objectives, deadlines, and busy-work reports               to make and do -- YOU are the one taking time from your peace and your family to help make our                  Council happen.  In appreciation, I devote my highest priority and loyalty to making YOUR experience         as a Knight as fulfilling for you as possible.

Beginning there, I am setting aside what Supreme may want, what State may want, and want to hear            from YOU.  What do YOU want to see our council accomplish in 2008/2009?  Here are some of my own         ideas so you can see my thinking:

(1)    Enhance and improve our relationship with Father Hoffman,
(2)    The "CALL ONE" program, i.e. build and implement a Phonecall tree to increase attendance and                    retention,
(3)    Start a “lessons learned” process to enhance tootsie roll drives and pancake breakfasts,

You have better ideas!  Please don’t be shy about telling me what you want to see us do this year!!               I so appreciate your time and commitment I want to do everything I can so that you can make this                 year your own!!

It was July when our wonderous country declared its independence from Great Britian.  It was July              when the Manhatten Project was finally realized and used to quickly end World War II.  It was July                 when American astronauts were the first humans to walk on the moon.

I have (at least) one of my former Rugby players serving in Iraq, Steve Blevins.  Please continue to              pray for our armed forces deployed overseas and for the lasting peace they are working to achieve!

Vivat Jesus!
Dylan
