Brother Knights,
The officers of Nativity of Our Lord Council 10961 of the Knights of Columbus wish you and your family a blessed and joyous Christmas. May its true meaning lead and strengthen all of us in the coming year.
In the past six months your council has raised thousands of dollars through the Tootsie Roll Drive, Pancake Breakfasts, Bronco Ticket Raffle, and sale of Keep Christ in Christmas magnets and stickers. Funds raised supported FRIENDS of Broomfield, Case School of Denver, Operationtbifreedom, and Joe Grady our local seminarian. Money raised also allowed us to sponsor a presentation on the Shroud of Turin for the parish and to donate towards a chalice for Father Michael on his twentieth anniversary.
We have supported Nativity by ushering at the the 25th anniversary celebration of the Fraternity of St. Charles Borromeo, helping with the teardown of the Christmas Craft Fair, and by hosting a Communion Service and Living Rosary in October, the month of the Holy Rosary. We showed our support for the parish at Corporate Communions in September and November.
We supported the community by driving seniors from Highlands Trails at 136th and Sheridan to 9:30 Mass every Sunday. We prayed on Wednesdays during the 40 Days of Life at the Boulder Abortion Clinic. We learned about the early days of the Council through a presentation by four of our founding members.
On Thursday, December 16th Our Social Meeting in Wiebel Hall at 7:00 p.m. will be a video on the Christmas Star. All Knights and their families are invited. Refreshments will be served.
Remember, business meetings are the first Thursday of the month and social meetings are the third Thursday. Pancake Breakfasts are scheduled for January 30th, March 27th, and May 22nd. The Corporate Communion and Sweetheart Breakfast are scheduled for February 13th.
